In the beautiful mountains of Maggie Valley, Yogi Bear sits quietly on a small footprint within the gated community of Dogwood Trails. This custom built, 3 bedroom, 2 bath log home sleeps six comfortably providing a welcome escape from everyday life in its peaceful mountain setting.

Walking up a short number of stairs to the front door, you arrive to a large open living space, kitchen, dining area combined with main queen bedroom and bath all located on the main floor. Easy one level access for anyone in your group. Find yourself cozying up in front of the gas fireplace while enjoying the big screen TV above or reading your favorite book. The chef in your party will enjoy being able to cook and converse with everyone in the room as you recall your days’ adventures. Some in your group will want to just sit and visit on the spacious back deck and listen to the creek below. Enjoy your dinner outside if you like, with the 4-person high top table. Relax, relax, relax is the name of the game.

Moving upstairs, this home has two additional queen bedrooms, one with its own personal indoor 2-person sauna plus additional workspace area for those of you who can’t quite leave the office at home. A full-size washer and dryer as well as an additional full bath are also located on the upper level. Central heat/AC, Roku with Smart TVs in each bedroom and living area available to log into your favorite streaming apps, Spectrum High-Speed Internet and Wi-Fi, ceiling fans in each bedroom and full-size washer/dryer complete the package. Please note this property is pet friendly. One large dog or two 15 pound or under dogs would be accepted. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. Please contact the property management office if bringing a pet as a non-refundable pet fee in addition to the base rent is required. Access to the home is a paved state road with an increase in incline as you make your way up. Four-wheels drive, all-wheel drive and even snow tires with chains would be required during winter months if there were a snow or ice event. Outdoor security camera on premise.

There is so much to do around this vacation home all year-round. Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel’s “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in downtown Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This home is a less than a 30-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah’s Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah’s has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America’s largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops. Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas.

You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
