You’ll love this craftsman style log home and its open floor plan with great room which includes a living room with queen sofa sleeper and brand-new gas log fireplace, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. One queen bedroom and bathroom round out the first floor. Make your way up the stairs and down the hallway to the beautifully appointed king bedroom and bathroom.  Brand new flat screen TV’s with Roku have recently been installed in each bedroom.

The afternoon sun will catch you napping or reading your favorite book from the back porch as you smell dinner cooking on the charcoal grill. Give yourself time to finish that last chapter and a glass of your favorite beverage, though! Spend the rest of your evening under the stars enjoying the bubbling six-person hot tub. Or just on the other side of the lower deck, gather around the Solo Stove fire pit and Adirondack chairs. Streaming Spectrum and Roku Flat screen TV’s including game room, central air and heat, washer, dryer and Spectrum High Speed Internet and Wifi complete the package.  The garage has been converted into a game room with foosball, air hockey, basketball shootout, ‘Old School’ Atari video games, darts and more!  This special mountain getaway will give you lots of memories to take home, and you will surely want to visit again!

Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel’s “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This home is just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah’s Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah’s has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America’s largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).

The approach to this home is begins with moderate paved access, with gradual incline to a slightly steeper incline prior to the driveway. Four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and/or chains would be required in a wintertime environment.  Dogs allowed for an additional fee. Two dogs maximum, 40 pounds or less.
