Serenity Mountain Retreat is a beautiful sprawling cabin located on over 500 private acres sleeping 18 people. Set between two mountain peaks, this beautiful cabin has all that you will need during your visit to the Great Smoky Mountains. The view from the great room is outstanding with the floor-to-ceiling windows, luxurious wrap around sectional sofa facing the gas fireplace. Serenity Mountain Retreat has room for the family with a master bedroom that boasts a beautiful king sized custom log bed, and guest rooms that range from queen sized beds to bunks that will accommodate up to 18 comfortably. The game room includes a pool table and ping pong table, and the laundry room is outfitted with two washers and two dryers, so no one waits for their winter clothes or summer towels and goodies. Enjoy the wooded and mountain view while relaxing on the deck, in the hot tub or out at the fire pit waiting for the steaks to cook on the gas grill. Hours of entertainment will be had with the HD Satellite TV, WiFi. Serenity Mountain Retreat offers central heat/AC, gas burning fireplace, WiFi, Satellite TV, hot tub, gas grill, and plenty of parking. Serenity Mountain Retreat is an excellent location to explore the area. Mere minutes away from Lake Junaluska Conference Center & Golf Course, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley makes Serenity Mountain Retreat a great location for skiers, the mountain adventurer and peace seekers.
Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski areas in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel’s “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing at Maggie Valley Club and numerous surrounding courses. In about 25 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is about a 25-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah’s Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah’s has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holidays).
A little more than 30 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America’s largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
Approach to driveway is paved, with a moderate incline and sharp turn into driveway which is gravel. Winter requires a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle and/or snow tire chains during inclement weather.
