Nottingham Nook

Description:

The word Nook by definition means “a corner or recess offering seclusion or security.”  If your vacation rental choice is Nottingham Nook, you will find just that to be sure.  Whether you are looking for a place to escape and unplug for a few days or a quiet spot to work remotely on vacation, Nottingham Nook offers the perfect balance of nature and relaxation away from the everyday world.  Everything about this thoughtful 2 bedroom, 2 bath custom made log cabin makes you feel at home the moment you arrive.

Amenities:

Stepping up onto the front covered porch you are immediately greeted with comfortable seating and a large gas heater for those chilly outdoor nights.  A gas grill located there is perfect for feeding your crew inside.  The smell of steaks and veggies on the grill will fill the air.

As you walk in the door, a large open living area with vaulted ceiling awaits you.  Overstuffed couches (one of which doubles as a pull-out queen sofa bed) and comfortable chairs are perfect for enjoying a roaring fire in the large custom stone gas fireplace or for catching up on your favorite television show on the large flat screen TV located there.  To the left is the dining room with its high-top table for six, a great space to play cards or enjoy an evening meal with friends and family.  A cozy kitchen with all the amenities you would expect from a vacation home (stove top and oven, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer) is conveniently located just steps away.  A stackable washer dryer is also located on the main floor.

Stepping out on the back deck you will immediately feel like you are alone in the woods – your view out is trees as far as you can see.  Imagine having morning coffee there, listening to the birds chirping or just the quiet of your surroundings.  What a concept.  Comfortable seating and a large flat screen TV can also be found there to enjoy a beverage and a ballgame.  Just down the steps find your own private hot tub where you can let the steaming waters relax your achy muscles after a full day’s activities and be ready for a good night’s sleep.  The adjacent fire pit complete with outdoor lighting and large Adirondack chairs is the perfect place to end your day.  To recap, this property comes equipped with washer/dryer, central heat and A/C, Wi-Fi, Spectrum cable and internet, gas fireplace, hot tub, firepit, and gas grill.

Sleeping:

The living area has a queen pullout sofa bed.  Down the hall from the dining room is the main floor queen bedroom with desk space and chair for those who might be on a working vacation.  That’s no problem as high-speed Spectrum internet and cable are included with this home.  The main floor bath with tub/shower combination is located mid hallway. Upstairs you’ll find the master king bedroom with master bath.  Both bedrooms have large flat screen TV’s.

Approach to this home is fully paved and at some points narrow with an increased incline until your destination.  The drive is also paved and has a bit of a downward steepness.  There is also a parking area and turnaround at the top of the drive which is recommended for use.
