Description:

Enjoy a mountain get-a-way at Adventure Cabin 1, a well-loved older 2 bedroom, 1 bath, small mountain cabin. This property has one queen bed, 2 twin beds and a queen size sleeper sofa. The eat in kitchen opens to the living room with a wood burning fireplace so you can enjoy visiting while in either area.

Amenities:

The cabin has Cable TV, WiFi, and central heat/AC.  Adventure Cabin 1 and Adventure Cabin 2 share a fire pit that sits alongside of a small creek. Adventure Cabin 1 and Adventure Cabin 2 are next door to one another making them the perfect choice for family/friends vacationing together and needing larger accommodations but desiring some privacy.

Sleeping:

All sleeping areas are on the main floor.   This property has one queen bed, 2 twin beds and a queen size sleeper sofa.

Driving to Property:

The approach to this property is a short-paved state road coming up from Maggie Valley, with some short period of steepness, turning onto a gravel drive.  The driveway is shared.  We do experience seasonal inclement weather in this region.  Four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and/or chains may be required during any type of snow, ice or winter weather event.

In Regard to Pets:

PLEASE NOTE: This is a dog friendly property. It is the guest’s responsibility to contact the property manager at Maggie Mountain Vacations as there is an additional non-refundable per pet fee, not included in the base rent. There are restrictions to weight and number of dogs allowed. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. No cats or other types of pets allowed.

Nearby Attractions:

This property is in the center of Maggie Valley and an easy 5–10-minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, as well as to Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski areas in the US to open each season), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on History Channel’s “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In just a quick and convenient 15 minutes you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This cabin is also a short 30 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah’s Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah’s has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, Asheville and the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America’s largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday), Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately, 45 minutes away in Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under an hour to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, (home of Dollywood).
