A Maggie Mountain Vista

« of 2 »

By definition, Vista means a distant view through to somewhere beyond.  But A Maggie Mountain Vista is not only a distant view through but a place you will feel right at home, here in this slice of heaven known as Maggie Valley.  Situated in the knolls resting right above this quaint small town, you have everything you came to the mountains to enjoy including views to amaze you Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter!   This home offers a spaciousness few rental properties have with its split-level entrance leading to the open living and dining area upstairs to the open great room and adjacent game room downstairs. With 4 bedrooms (2 on each level) and 3 full baths this home sleeps 10 comfortably.  Plus, its proximity to Maggie Valley cannot be beat!  Also, don’t forget with the spectacular layout of this house, you can have one group watching their favorite teams play ball on TV downstairs and another group watching their favorite movie upstairs. Everyone gets to do their own thing here!

A Maggie Mountain Vista will live up to its name as you reach your destination and see the magnificent Smoky Mountains in the distance and trust us, that view never gets old!  Here you are greeted with a large flat parking area as well as outdoor fire pit with surrounding Adirondack chairs.  Imagine yourself relaxing in the hot tub on the lower-level deck gazing in the distance, perhaps at the leaves or if you are lucky, the new fallen snow.  Each a memory that will last a lifetime.  Enjoy your favorite meal off the charcoal grill and even eat alfresco in the cool mountain air.  It’s definitely mountain living at its best!

Family and friends will appreciate the open feeling of the main level with its fully stocked kitchen (including a Keurig coffeemaker!) and family dining area which opens out into the large living room and stone gas fireplace. Step out onto the L shaped covered front deck where you can enjoy that first cup of coffee in the morning or gaze out on the mountains as your cares drift away each night.

All will sleep comfortably in any season with the “Fall” King primary bedroom and full bath en suite and the “Spring” Queen second primary bedroom with full bath, both located on the main level.  Downstairs you will find the “Winter” bedroom with 2 twin beds – one with twin trundle.  Only steps away is the “Summer” queen bedroom with additional twin bed.  A full bath is located between the two.  The downstairs level opens into the Great Room with its comfortable oversized couches, a large screen high-def TV and the second of the home’s 2 gas fireplaces.  Ready for fun?  The garage / game room on the lower level offers a ping pong table and corn hole for all to enjoy and you know that corner card table will be calling your name!  There is also a high-def big screen Roku TV with DVD player in the main floor living area as well as in the master king room. Spectrum Cable is available in the Great Room and High-Speed Internet and Wi-Fi run throughout the house. Washer/dryer, central heat and air round out this beautiful home.

PLEASE NOTE:  This property is NOT PET FRIENDLY.  Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $200 per pet penalty.  The approach to this property is a mountain road with some short period of steepness.  We do experience seasonal inclement weather in this region. All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive and/or snow tire chains would be required in winter weather events.

There is so much to do around this vacation home all year-round.  Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel’s “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in downtown Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This home is less than a 30-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah’s Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah’s has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America’s largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
