Fireside Cabin

« of 2 »

Thank you for considering Fireside Cabin! We would be so honored to have you enjoy this beautiful home nestled in these ancient mountains…  This is a wonderful place to leave your cares behind and reconnect with Mother Nature, family and friends. You can hear the song of the creek while enjoying your morning coffee on the back porch and see the dappled sunlight streaming through the tulip poplars reflected on the pond. In the evening, we invite to you build a fire in the fire pit next to the creek. Sharing stories, songs, roasting marshmallows, sitting by fire has a way of bringing forth our laughter and reminding us of the beauty and many blessings in this world. Depending on the season, you may hear the chorus of the tree frogs and the bullfrogs and perhaps the barn owl, too.

After hiking up Water Rock Knob, or perhaps a more ambitious trek to Mt. Le Conte, take advantage of the spacious 38-jet Master Spa hot tub with room for 6 to 7 adults. On rainy days, you can still enjoy grilling and dining on the covered back porch. There are board games and cards and three high definition Smart TVs with Spectrum high speed internet, WiFi and cable TV with HBO and other premium channels.

If you’re planning on bringing your motorcycles to ride the Tail of the Dragon or our other amazing roadways, Fireside Cabin is a unique property in that it is easily accessible, offers ample parking and has a 30′ x 24′ alarmed garage to safeguard your bikes and trailer. This garage is monitored by ADT and a Blink security camera and offers peace of mind so you can safely store your equipment and relax and enjoy your time in the mountains. There is plenty of room to stow kayaks… and skis, too, if you are visiting in winter!

We hope you’ll feel pampered with luxury pillow top mattresses on the king beds, the soaking tub en-suite in the upstairs master, the ceiling heaters in both bathrooms so you’re never cold stepping out of the shower, the tankless hot water heater so you never run out of hot water, and the instant filtered hot water faucet delivering steaming hot water for a cup of tea, press pot coffee, or making instant hot cocoa, too!

Much of the furniture has been lovingly made for Fireside Cabin by renowned rustic wood craftsman, Bob Warner, who hails from Mooresville, NC. He uses primarily white or red cedar and works from his shop surrounded by his 12 (as of this writing) rescue pits who keep him busy from dawn to dusk. The cabin is constructed from all US sourced Eastern White Pine and Douglas Fir from sustainably managed and renewed forests. And last, but not least, words cannot express our deepest gratitude for two of the most respectful and integrity-filled men we have ever known, Jason Huitt of South Mountain Log Homes and Jim Whitaker. They poured their hearts and souls and impeccable craftsmanship into each and every detail creating this stunning log home for you to enjoy…
