Woodlands cabin is the perfect place to come and relax in the mountains. It offers an easy access paved drive that is close to town but far enough away to get some peace and quiet. Soak in the hot tub that is enclosed in a screened in porch while listening to the sounds of nature around you. Cook your favorite meal in the fully equipped kitchen or order in and watch a movie. Less than a 25 minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony’s Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle, as featured on History Channels “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 20 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This cabin is about a 35 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee (even if you do not gamble it has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

A about 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 25 minutes to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).

The approach to this vacation rental is on a maintained paved curvy mountain road with a steady incline; the driveway is gravel and flat. We advise during the Fall and Winter Season (more specifically during inclement weather) guests use an all-wheel drive or 4 wheel drive for accessibility.
