The Lodge is a comfortable ranch style home nestled in the woods in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. While out hiking through the woods, stop at the nearby barn and visit the goats, pigs, and chickens. If nuptials are in your future, you might consider the small country chapel hidden in the nearby woods. With three floors of living space, The Lodge comfortably accommodates large groups without losing its cozy charm. The master bedroom with the king bed and adjoining bathroom are on the main floor along with the roomy kitchen, dining room, and living room. The top floor offers serene views from both bedrooms each with a Queen bed and a shared bathroom. The lower level includes two bedrooms with five sets of bunk beds and a full bathroom, a game room with a foosball table, a VCR/DVD player, and board games for all to enjoy. This is your opportunity to get in touch with mother-nature and disconnect from the world. For those of you that must be electronically entertained The Lodge has WiFi and cable TV on one television in the lower level. You will never notice the lack of AC when you open all the doors and windows and enjoy the fresh mountain breeze. The Lodge is walking distance from The Bethel House making this the perfect place for extra-large groups, weddings, and retreats. Additional accommodations are available in walking distance at the Birdhouse, as well, which is an over/under cabin, featuring two units the Blue Bird and Cardinal Suites.
Less than a 30 minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony’s Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle, as featured on History Channels “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. Approximately, 45 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 20 minutes to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).
The approach to this vacation rental is a gravel/dirt mountain road with rolling hills and slight incline. We advise during the Fall and Winter Season (more specifically during inclement weather) guests use an all-wheel drive or 4 wheel drive for accessibility.
