Enjoy an Excellent View of The Mountains from The Barbee House. The home has 2 Bedrooms. Master Bedroom has a queen size bed, and guest room is outfitted with two twin size beds and 2 Bathrooms. In the Master Bath you’ll find a step-in shower, and a full bath; and in the Guest room side of house you’ll have access to a full bath with tub. The foyer opens into a Great Room with cathedral ceilings and excellent view of the mountains. This room includes kitchen, dining area, bar, den with wood burning fireplace, cable TV/VCR/DVD. The dining table sits six with additional seating for three, at the bar. Washer/dryer are located on the guest side. House has a wrap-around deck with covered carport. Recently renovated. Kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, toaster oven, and coffee maker. As well, kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware. Please note, this home has Central Heat, but none of the following: NO Air Conditioning – No Internet – NOT Handicapped Accessible – No Smoking – No Pets.
Conveniently located to Waynesville, and less than 20 minutes from Ingles and Publix grocery stores, or Walmart, and Downtown, Main Street in Waynesville. There you can enjoy restaurants like Sauced, Sweet Onion, Boojum Brewery, Firefly and many more. While enjoying Downtown Waynesville and Main Street, stop by the many boutiques, customer furniture stores and even a dog friendly bakery.
You can be in the heart of Maggie Valley, within a 15 minute drive where you’ll find Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony’s Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle, as featured on History Channels “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing.
This cabin is also is a short 40 minute drive up to Cataloochee Valley Overlook, Blue Ridge Parkway, The Smoky Mountain National Park, and just 25 minutes to Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee (even if you do not gamble it has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses.
Asheville, is within 45 minutes, and you may visit the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several micro-breweries, Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday), a little over an hour to Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Just under an hour away in Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just about an hour and half to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).
Located on a moderately steep, paved road. We do encourage you to utilize a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle during Fall and Winter. Seasonally, we do experience inclement weather in this region, that may limit accessibility.
